Your vet can prescribe medications to take away the "panic" that some dogs experience when they have separation anxiety.  This condition is sad for the pets since they do not understand that we are not abandoning them just because we leave the house.

There are many drugs your vet can use:  Amitryptilline, Prozac and Zoloft are just a few examples.

You may also want to seek the advice of a veterinary behaviorist in your area or a reputable trainer.  NOT a breeder - make sure the people you choose have credentials in training.

There is hope - trust me.  You just have to be patient with them.  Visit your vet and ask them for medical therapy if the training is not an option.  Keep in mind that the drugs usually take up to 6 weeks to take effect since they have to build up to therapeutic levels in the bloodstream.

Let me know if I was able to help you - take care.
