My 16 week old Lab puppy has a bump close to his hip between his back bone and his hip bone, it just appeared 3 days ago. It feels like a knot humans get in there muscles, but feeling it, it seems to be between the muscle and the skin, is this something we should take him to the vet and be worried about?

Just by chance did he get a shot or vaccines recently? Sometimes there can be a reaction that might would present like that especially if it is acute.Nonetheless I would have it examined by your vet.They can do other diagnostics such as an aspirate of the bump and look at the cells under a microscope. This helps them to see what the bump is made up of whether it is good or bad cells.
