my 13 year old cat is eating 3 to 4 cans of wet food a day. he gets sick once a day, he isn't gaining any weight. he is very skinny.

Symptoms: Vomiting, Weight Loss

    Hi there, from the signs you've mentioned, I think the most likely cause is hyperthyroidism.  This can be tested for by your vet with 1 or 2 blood tests, and they can discuss treatment options with you after this.  They can also do general blood tests to check kidney function and listen to his heart, etc., as an increase in thyroid hormone can affect both these organs.  Other possibilities are renal disease and a tumour so I suggest you book him in for an appointment soon (in the next 2 weeks or so).
