Cat urinating

Rating: 0

I have had my cat for 5 years and he has never urinated anywhere other than his litter box. The past 2 weeks or so he has been peeing in my guest bedroom on the bed. I bought him a new litter box thinking maybe that was why but it hasn't helped. We have not changed anything in our lifestyle to make him upset(at least I don't think). I have heard they pee places when something is wrong or when they are upset. Do you know how I can fix this in my cat?

Inappropriate urination can sometimes be a sign of a medical condition mostly relating to urinary tract infections or crystals. Your vet can check this by doing a complete urinalysis which includes a urine dipstick telling if there is any protein ,bilirubin, white blood cells or red blood cells and they will do a sediment where they will look at the urine under a microscope to look for those cells and crystals. If your sure its not a direct behavior issue then i would certainly have this checked out.
