I have a cat that we adopted from the SPCA about 2 years ago. About 2 or 3 days ago I noticed a knot on his side. I can touch it and it does not seem to bother him.I changed his food about 2 weeks ago could that be it? Also noticed Christmas day that he has tape worms could that be it? Thanks

If he has a knot, meaning a firm/hard bumpy type of lump, under his skin he should be examined immediately.  This could be a tumor that originates from the vaccine for feline leukemia.  The vary majority are cured by removing them.  They very rarely spread, but can be aggressive locally.
