dog gas

my boxer has had bad gas today,i heard some where if it continues it could be an issue.is this true?he hasn't had gas before.

    If his only symptom is gas, give him a table spoon of yogurt with active cultures in his next couple of meals.  If he has diarrhea or any other symptoms, have him examined and bring a stool sample with you.

    thank you.i will keep an eye (or nose) on him.right now he is not having gas.i think he was given a small piece of ham yesterday and that may be the cause.thanx again.jeff rauch
