If a horse dies from colic, will the bowel still release?

Hello, there are many reasons why a horse colics. Colic is just abdominal pain that can lead to other complications. If the cause of colic is a blockage in the bowel, then there probably wouldn't be and bowel that would release. Also not all animals that die have bowel movements after death.
