adult teeth growing under baby teeth

Rating: 0

Bella my pom, has grown some of her adult teeth (she is 6 months in january) and there are still two baby teeth that the adult teeth have grown in behind and they are being pushed out a bit. Her gums do look inflamed and she has been bleeding a little bit. I am just wondering if this is a concern.

    Hi

Retained canine teeth is very common - they should ideally be extracted as food can get wedged between them and the adult teeth. This is often done when the dog is being neutered as it is under anesthetic anyway, they can be whipped out quickly but obviously not when conscious!
