My cat is very thin and seems to be still losing weight. He eats pretty good but does not gain weight. He is wobbley on his feet and as of late has been vomiting every few days.

cats can develop a disease called hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid ) causing weight loss but with a brilliant appetitie!

I would advise blood sampling to rule this condition out , it can be very common in older cats including siamese cats.

Another possibility is renal damage due to age, as this is very common in cats and siameses.

Please feed him a bland diet to help his vomiting untill these tests are carried out. If it is hyperthyroidism this can be treated surgically or medically via daily tablets of thyroxine. And is very treatable!

If everything comes back normal on the bloods then at least you know that he is internally fit and well.

Please see http://www.sniksnak.com/cathealth/hypothyroidism.html for more information on hyperthyroididm as this is the most likley problem to be .

    Hope this helpsd
