my mother in laws cat has a nasty wound above her right eye.its rather raw and has no fur around it.she is using her paw to wipe and lick it clean.affordbility is an issue at the moment to take her to vet.is there something we can do for her now, till we can get her to the vet.ie;home remedy?

Hi
Clean the wound with dilute chlorhexidine solution (available from any pharmacy). She needs a plastic buster collar as well to stop her from touching it constantly as this is detrimental to the healing.
