What is wrong wiht her?

OK, I think my cat is pregnet. She is eating a lot more and her belly is swolen. But the biggerst concern is that she has been loosing alot of hair around her belly. At first it was on her hind end and bottom of her tail. But now it's her whole belly and some areas of her legs. I thought some one has been playing a prank and shaving her but I'm keeping her form going out side so now i know it's not. My husband noticed that her fur was almost gone on her sides tonight! I'm extremly concerned. We don't have much money to take her to a vet, but if she's in serious trouble we will. Oh, and there are no scabs from scratching either. Her poo is a yellowish color.

Hair loss in pregnant cats is normal, and can be hormonal reasons for the hair loss.

I think that to find out the problem you need pregnancy diagnosing either by palpation (the vet feeling her abdomen) or a concious radiograph of the abdomen or a ultrasound. When this pregnancy is confirmed then you will be able to rule out any other possibilitys.

Please note if your cat has been speyed (neutered) then this pregnancy can not be possible.

The other possibilitys can be gastrointestinal worms such as tape worm or round worm. Please worm your animal regually to free her from these worms with worming tablets FROM YOUR VET (the ones in shops DO NOT WORK)

WOrms in animals can cause overeating , gaseous stomachs (causing it to swell) and dirrohea.

I think either way she may be due a healht check and would recommend you take a trip to your vets to sort this problem out. (if she is pregnant i would also advise researching about pregnancy in cats so that you will be prepared for any eventualaties)

    Hope this helps
