no puppies

about a month ago we thought our dog was pregnant she was getting a little fatter and she had boobs she starting laying around makeing a bed not eating very much she did this for about 3 weeks and then she got up started acting normal and her boobs went away and there was never any puppies so what happened

  She could have possibly had a false pregnancy.  The bitch will not be pregnant but physically and mentally their body thinks that they are.  The levels of hormones are similar to a pregant bitch.  Some females stay in the false pregnancy and find toys and they become their babies and they nest etc.  It sounds like your gal came out of it. If you decide to spay her, the behavior will stop.
