Elwood ate about 10 Hershey Nuggets this morning. He has thrown up all day. Stools are solid, so I don't think he digested much. He has been moving around but not even close to his usual efforts. I am sure he is tired from vomiting. He has drank much water & will eat. Is there anything else I should be concerned about?

Hello there....oh dear, I don't blame him but unfortunately chocolate can be toxic to dogs. The main problem it can cause is renal failure and heart disease. This may just be a reaction of his gut to the chocolate and he may not have had the toxic dose but I would withold food for now and if he is not improving by tomorrow, I would take him in to see the vet as if his kidneys/heart are affected, the sooner he is treated with IV fluids, etc., the better. Good luck and I hope he recovers soon!!
