I recently adopted two kitten and my dog has been eating the kitten food. He started vomiting and the color is brown like his dog food and the kitten food. Could the vomiting be from eating the kitten food. Thank You

Hi there, thanks for the question. The vomitting could definately be from eating the kitten food. Kitten food is higher in calories and richer than dog food and in combination, your dog may have a slightly sensitive stomach that cannot handle the sudden change in diet. If he is bright and happy and has a good appetite, I would starve him for 12-24 hours (water only), then if he has stopped vomitting, feed him bland food only (chicken/rice) for 2-3 days. After this, if he is stil not vomitting, you can gradually change him over to his normal diet over 2-3 days. If he continues to comit or becomes lethargic etc., I would reccomend having him examined by a vet. You can feed the kittens in a seperate room or on a platform/bench that the dog can't get to. Hpe this helps and good luck with the new additions!!
