Hi there, How long have the sores been present? Can you upload a close-up photo? First I'd rule out fleas. Itchiness would cause Nicky to scratch at her face possibly, causing self trauma. Likewise, look whether her ears appear waxy as ear mites would make her scratch at her ears, thereby causing damage to her face from those sharp claws. Other than that we could be dealing with primary trauma, e.g. from a cat fight, or another skin infection which would require a course of antibiotics. Rarer causes include autoimmune disease, kidney failure and cancer, but without seeing the sores closer up I can't really offer any assurances.
