My 1yr old 4lb chihuahua was found under a bed liking/chewing on a dead mouse. we were not aware we had mice. therefore we didn't set traps or put out posion... could this make my dog sick?

Most likey your dog will be fine. However, if the mouse died because of poison or diease there could be a problem. Having your dog examined and having bloodwork done would be a good idea.
