Unfortunately there isn't really anything that is safe for cats that you're likely to have at home. He would probably tolerate a one-off small dose of aspirin but if he is still able to jump 6ft, the negligible benefit may not be worth the risk. In a very active cat like this, to mask pain that causes lameness is probably going to make the injury take longer to heal, so it might be better to give it time. Rest, if that's possible, will also help, but he doesn't sound like a stay-at-home cat!
