we took in a cat when my dog was 2. they get along ok as the cat is old and not active. when i leave the house however i have to put the cat in a seperate room or my dog will urinatie on the corner of our beds. what can i do to stop this behavior?

Hi Jade you have fixed this one yourself by keeping them in a separate room. There is probably more to this than meets the eye so if I were you I would seek the help of a qualified Animal Behaviourist. This behaviour could be due to an anxiety problem or a marking one or both of course and will need further investigation or you could just keep them apart.
