blood in stool

Rating: 0

My 5 month old pom puppy has been having very soft poos for the past few days. I have noticed that there is what looks like mucus or a membrane of some type and it has red in it. She is still eating and drinking. I haven't noticed that she has eaten something she shouldn't and I don't usually have things lying around for her to get into. Should I be concerned?

You should take her to the vet to be examined immediately.  Bloody diarrhea in young small breed dogs should always be cause for concern and no delay should be made in seeking veterinary care for an animal with these symptoms.
