Frequent urination

My dog is 3 1/2 months old and is frequently urinating wherever she may be standing. We noticed it when she first came to our home and thought it might just be nerves from being placed into a new home. However, it started up again about two or three weeks ago. There isn't any blood in the urine and she doesn't seem to be in pain. When she goes she hold the position for what seems to be 3-4 minutes at a time and also will just pee while standing or while walking and not "assume the position." She probably goes 10-15 times a day. Is this natural to go so often or is there something more going on that we don't know?

It sounds as though she may have a urine infection. it is best to take her to your local vets for a health check and if possible collect a urine sample in a clean container to take with you so they can analyse it straight away. If the vet doesn't think there is an infection it may be behavioural however it seems more likely she has developed an infection.

Hope this helps and she makes a speedy recovery.
