Hi ,sorry to hear your concern.
Most veterinary practices have free dental checks to offer, i would advise a dental check and also point out this concern.
There are many things that can occur in the gums and oral cavity. Without examing Oskar it is very difficult to say what it is. Possibilitys include gingivitis, (inflammation of the gums), trauma (via fighting or hunting), tumors , however your cat is very young and this type of tumor is uncommon in young cats but cannot be entireley ruled out. ganglion are small lumps that can occur in the oral cavity and be no threat at all to your pet but can cause pain , difficultys eating etc..
The other possibilitys include ulcers, infections etc.. all of which can be treated.
Please also take note that cats with bad dental hygeine and inflammation should ideally be tested for feline FIV (like human aids but non contractable to humans , dont worry!) Cats can transfer this to one another via saliva and fighting , bites etc.. and cast that are diagnosed can be very prone to oral cavity problems. A simple blood test can also rule this out.
Please also remember that these are all possibilties and untill a examination it is very difficult to suggest the problem and it could be something as simple as a ulcer but i do highly recommend a veterinary denatl check.
Hope this helps
