Sue

I am sorry but i cannot reccommend doses over the internet for a analgesic that is not licenced for use in animals)

Asprin is a non - steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and in incorrect doses in the dog, (it is very poisonous in the cat) can cause depression, gastric irritation , vomiting and dirrohea in the dog and sometimes if given in large doses can cause kidney damage.

The doses should only be recommende by a veterinary surgeon, sorry i was unable to help.

seems always a common answer do u think we have not thought about it? thats the first thing in any owners head, but some people cannot afford vet bills, they charge big amounts of money for anything. so we come here . if an animal is in pain and we have money we take to vets. when we need to wait to get money and we know its only a sprain after paying the vet large amounts of money to find its a sprain, All humans have sprains too we just wish to relieve the animals pain.not pay a vet a fee to see dog to say yes its improving then the medication wich costs a fortune. sooo if there are actually any vets who read this care to tell us how to work out how muchb asprin to give an animal. like wieght to mg ratio. surely thats how a vet would work it out ?
