scabbs on nose

My Cat has dry crusty skin on both sides of his nose. I moved him from CA to the desert.
what can I do to soften the skin for him?

    Hello sorry to hear your problem. Vasaline intensive gel (the oil one that we use for our lips) can be used or sudocrem three to four tines a day. Be carfful not to block his nostrils but he will probally lick it off anyway.

    Please bear in mind that there may be a reason for the dry scabby nose, such as parasites, infection or general illness and if it continues to bother him please get it checked out by your veterinary surgeon.
