Corgi Vomitting and Diarrhea w/ blood...after eating a ham bone.

I gave my corgi and Lab a ham bone each and my corgi...ate the bone very quickly....the next evening he started having diarrhea with blood in it and vomiting as well. He is still drinking and eating some but he still has blood again today in his stole. Any help?

    Hello and thanks for your question. The pancreas of a dog is not designed like a humans. Humans are able to digest food that has a higher fat contense. Ham has WAY too much fat for a dog to handle. If you care going to give your pet people food please stick to bland boiled chicken. It sounds like you gave your pet a case of pancreatitis. He will have to see your regular vet for care as soon as you can. I hope your pet gets better.
