Hi. My 15 1/2 year old cat has a tumor on her left side of her tummy towards her back leg. She has had it for years, but in the last week or 2 I have noticed that it has grown from the size of a grape to a small tangerine size. She also has a tumor/mole on her head, between her eyes that seems to get bigger at times and then seems to shrink a little. We have noticed that she is drinking a lot of water, vomitting up her food more, not quite urinating in her litter box at times. Please help. Thank you.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your cat

This could indicate that these are tumours that have spread to her internal organs. Having said that, the tumours and her symptoms of drinking and urinating too much and vomiting could be completely unrelated. I think you need to take her to the vet to assess her situation. The increased thirst and urination could indicate kidney failure but could also be due to cystitis, diabetes or liver disease so I would do a blood sample to have her kidney and liver values checked and probably would advise x-rays as well to see if they reveal any swellings internally. My first guess would be liver tumours as she is vomiting as well, but there is no way of telling without further investigation.

    Good luck at the vets
