I adopted a cat for my daughter from a no kill shelter - the cat has explosive diarrhea - she took it to a vet and the put her on one dose of giardia ova parasite and metronidazole 100 mg for one week twice a day - and two doses of strongid - the cat still has the same issues - she is under a year old and very happy - eats and drinks water and is full of life - any ideas we love her

I would take her back to the vet and tell them she is still havng diarrhea. They should be ab;e to help you figure out what the next step in her treatment should be. I wiill say Giardia is very hard to kill. Hope this helps and good luck. Please rate this answer. AMY
