can you please go back to televets to answer my question

Regarding what to feed the chihuahua 2 to 3 pounds for dinner. You said its not enough to give them meat. I give them dry food in the morning so what else do i give them? They don't each much. I posted and you answered regarding them having not diarrhea but mucous and jellylike stools with blood. Yesterday I took them both over to my sons house he has a 84 pound american bulldog. The boy had a normal stool and then an hour later he had a quarter size stool dark brown not watery stool. Could it have been stress? It was not formed just flat. I just can't believe all of a sudden he has a problem. Should I just wait to see if the problem goes away a day or so. He is very active and eating fine. He had a little cheese but I don't know if that would cause him to have a loose stool.

Keep them on dry food just make sure the blood sugar doesn't get too low. Signs of this could be lethargy, shaking and just not looking right to you. If this happens you can give a little bit of Kayro Syrup put it on the gums or roof of mouth or even on the tongue. I would feed the chihuahua 2-3 times a day. Adults 2 times a day puppy 3 times a day. The diarrhea problem could be from stress or eating something he shouldn't have. I would give 1/4 tablet of Immodium a/d. Then maybe try some scrambled egg on food in the morning and see how he does. Only give the Immodium if he is haveing diarrhea that same day. Hopefully this helps. Dont for get to rate my answer. Thanks and good luck.
