Mr. Bojangles
My dog is 12 years old. He had surgery in March to remove an invasive lipoma. Then he had 4 weeks of radiation therapy, which finished the last week of April. Recently I notice that sometimes when he gets up he seems unable to put pressure on the leg which was operated on, he keeps the leg drawn up toward his body for about 1 minute, then he is able to put weight on it. Could this be a muscle spasm?

Hello and thank you for your question. Not putting weight on a limb denotes pain. Please take him to your regular vet and please refrain from giving any over the counter humanoid medications for pain. Thank you and I hope your doggie gets better!
