Trembling and Pacing

Rating: 0

Our 2 1/2 year old Lab has been more restless than usual. He paces and whines more. We also noticed that when he is laying down, he trembles/twitches all over. We assumed it was behavioral, but have a growing concern it could be medical. Is there anything we can do to determine the likelihood it is medical? Any thoughts on what it could be?

Hi and thanks for your questions. Normally "behavioral" symptoms are things like: urinating in the house and biting not shaking and being restless as these are signs of pain. It could be hip and knee issues as labs are predisposed to hip displasia and arthritis regardless of the age. Please take your pet to your vet and please do not try to give your pet any over the counter humanoid medication. Thank and I hope your pet gets better!
