Over Christmas we lost a new puppy to parvo. I've bleached her brand new carrier and bedding but don't feel safe using them for a puppy we'll be receiving in March. Would they be safe for my daughter to use for her cat that is a year old?

I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy. That is just horrible. Please rest assured that your daughter's kitty is not in any danger from this disease. Parvovirus is a purely canine problem, and does not pose any threat to your cats. I hope that this information is of help to you, and I wish you the best of luck with your kitty.
