i have painter turtles and 2 puppies..my puppies always try to drink the water from the turtle aquarium...how likely is it that my puppies contract salmonella?

Hi, thank you for your question. It is extremly important that you keep your puppies away from turtle water. They have an immature immune system, not to mention, that is is easy for human beings to contract salmonella. Salmonella can harm a child and it certainly can harm a puppy. Please move your aquarium out of reach. Thank you and have a good holiday.
