Wound in cats skin

Rating: 0

My cat has a hole in his side that is the size of a pencil eraser. There is a small ring around the hole where there is no hair. The small hole does not show any blood and is very deep. Could it be from a cat fight? He goes outside a lot.

Yes it could be that or sometimes flies can lay their larvae in the animals skin and then once the larvae hatches then the animal is left with a hole. It needs veterinary attention before it turns into an infection.
