Delilah
My kitten has been sleeping more than usual, and my husband recently noticed that she wasn't opening her eyes either. When she does open her eyes to eat, or chase her favorite toy, her third-lid (haw?) covers half of her eye.
She doesn't seem to be in any pain, but again is sleeping more than usual. We gave her dry-eye relief drops, one in each eye, and it seemed to relieve it slightly. What is this? Do we need to take her in to a vet?

Yes she needs to got to the vet. She sounds like she has an Upper Respiratory Infection which is really common in cats and kittens. She wiill probably need antibiotics and probably some subqutaneous fluid(fluids under the skin)to prevent her from dehyrating and they will make her feel better. So yes thke her to the vet the sooner the better.
