my puppy just vomited a light brown log looking substance. he did this about an hour after he ate. my concern is he never done this before and the vomit smelt like fesces. so much so i could not stand to clean it up. i have smelt vomit before but not like this. he seems fine now. i even gave him a small milk bone and he is still fine.

Sometimes when dogs eat too fast even puppies it can upset their stomach or they can get it caught in their esophagus and cause them to vomit and it can come out in the shape described because the esophagus is shaped like a tube. If it continues then you may have to switch to a different food or take too a vet. Or it could have eaten his on feces and vomitied it up.
