My sister called me this morning about her cat. It was sneezing and had a little bloody mucus come out.he seems very active and not phased by this. Are cats prone to having bloody noses or is this something she should be worried about?

Symptoms: Sneezing

Hi there, sometimes very forceful sneezes may burst a small blood vessel in the sinuses, causing the symptoms you describe.  I feel this is probably the case - if it happens frequently however, I would be a bit more concerned - things that could cause this to recur are chronic sinusitis/sinus infections, fungal infections, foreign bodies being stuck up the nose, even cancer.  So, I would say if it is just the one episode, keep an eye on it, and if it recurs, take Tiger to your vet.  Good luck!
