are puppies able to contract parvo before their 1st check up with the vet? If so, what symptoms should I look for?

Yes puppies can contract Parvo before their vaccinations.

Parvo is a virus that attacks the lining of the digestive system, Puppies are more prone to it as they have weak immune systems.

Symptoms include: Diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy, foul smelling liquid diarrohea, fever, dehydration shock and sudden death.

Puppies can become dehydrated very quickly so if you think they might have this then please take them to the vets ASAP. They will be isolated and treated as needed.

I hope they do not have this, regards

    Selena
