Help - Kerosene or lamp oil on my cat

How do you get kerosene/lamp oil out of cat fur? My cat came home yesterday soaked in some sort of kerosene or lamp oil. He seems to be in shock. I bathed him twice trying to get it out of his fur once with shampoo and once with dish soap.

You need to get Marvin to the veterinarian.

Animals will try to clean themselves more than likely and therefore ingest whatever substance they have come in contact with.  Usually special bathings are required... a collar to keep Marvin from being able to clean himself...and in many cases... IV fluid/medication therapy.

    All the best for Marvin.
