Lump

I seem to be having trouble sending my question. Hope this isn't a repeat. Yesterday I noticed a small lump, almost like a pimple, under my cat's mouth, on chin. Could he have done this himself, like scratching too vigorously or rubbing up against something. Behavior normal, eating normal, doesn't seem to bother him. When Should I be concerned and bring him to the vet? Thank you

If it's not bothering him and he's behaving normally, it's probably nothing to worry about. Most lumps are benign, and it's quite common to get small benign warts or sebaceous cysts on the chin. Keep an eye on it for now, if it grows rapidly, bleeds or starts to bother him, then get it looked at. Good luck.
