I was reading the questions that people have asked and I saw alot about rats haveing mites how do they get mites?What would keep the mnites away?None of mine have them I was just wondering thank you

    Rats may get mites from a rogue batch of bedding. This will only happen if your rats come into contact with sawdust, hay etc. If you use shredded newspaper or something else synthetic, you shouldn't get a mite problem (unless they bring them from the pet shop or contact other rats, or indeed if they are allowed to play outside in the grass).
