chinchilla

my chinchilla has started with puss in his eyes and they ar both sore and swollen. because he is scratching them one is bleeding very slightly. i have been bathing them untill i get to vets in morning and spoken with vet on phone but is there anything else i can do tonight for my chinchilla

    Hi

    Apart from bathing them with salty water soaked cotton wool to keep them clean, all you can do is clip the tips of the claws so he can't traumatize the eyes by scratching, and wait for that appt with your vet.
