My 6.5 year old dog has had loose stools with mucus, any idea what could cause the mucus?

Symptoms: Diarrhea

    Hi

Try starving your dog for 24hrs, plenty of water, then feeding chicken and rice for 3 days. That should stop the mucoid diarrhea. It could be mild colitis. If any vomiting develops, or your dog becomes inappetant, then take him to a vet.
