    Hi,

Your dog could have a very early ear infection. That might respond to giving it a good clean out with some dog ear cleaning solution, or olive oil, and some dry cotton wool. However, if your dog has a foreign body in his ear canal (such as a grass seed) then this will need to be removed by a vet - usually conscious but if the ear is sore, under anaesthesia. It is more likely to be an ear infection, most of these need prescription antibiotic ointment at the least to make them better.

    Good luck
