my friend has a cat. We would like to introduce out cats. His cat has a weepi9ng eye which he said was some kind of herpes. Can my cat catch that from his cat?

    Hi, Feline Herpes Virus is indeed contagious. It is the virus that is responsible for 'cat flu', so is usually spread via sneezing and aerosol transmission. Once a cat has picked up herpesvirus, it can then manifest in other ways, such as viral conjunctivitis or even corneal ulcers. You should make sure your cat is up to date with the standard vaccinations, then she will be protected.
