It is always best to contact your vet when it comes to any issues concerning the health of your pet. Kennel cough is a very contagious virus that spread from otehr dogs in either a kennel type environment, grooming facilities, dog parks etc. Symptoms include coughing, gagging, sneezing, and unny nose. And yes it can develop into pneumonia, in rare cases, if left untreated. Iot is best to contact your vet right away.
