my dog threw up last night - this morning she was acting normal, just very thristy. When i got home from work today she was extremly lethargic, moved very slow, and her eyes look very strange....almost like she is scared or in shock. the doc did intestinal tests and said nothing was wrong. she barely moves but when she does she will yelp like she is in pain. The doctor touched her all over and she didnt yelp at all. Any ideas about what might be wrong with her? they gave her two medications, an anti-biotic and intestinal pill.

Very hard to even come up with a list of what may be wrong based on such a wide range of symptoms.  My honest recomendation would be to administer the medications your vet prescribed and see how the pet does over the next 24 hours.  I am, however, very curious to know if your veterinarian did any diagnostics besides an exam before prescribing these medications.  If there was labwork done and it showed nothing specific then allow time for the medications to work.  If no diagnostics were done then you might consider getting a second opinion.  Either way if there is no improvement in 24 hours or any deterioration before then I would either return to your vet for more intense treatment, or possibly seek a second opinion.  In my experience these symptoms represent a genuine health problem with any one of several origins and a thorough workup is warranted to determine the cause. ~D
