about snoangel

snoangel was born on may 28 2008, i noticed this morning when she went outside to use the bathroom she had went poop she had a lot of diareah and alot of blood in it, a friend of mine had said she might be in her first heat,i dont think so because she is not swollen nor bleeding from her viginia. she wont eat, but will drink.. she acts normal also there is alot of mucus in her stool also. does this sound like her first time in heat or something to take her to the vet for

  At her age, especially for a large dog, it is unlikely that she would be in heat so early. Also bloody diarreah is not a symptom of a dog being in heat. I would definitely take her (and a stool sample) to the vet to test it for parasites. There is also the possibility of parvovirus, especially if she has not completed her puppie vaccines. Then there is always the chance that she got into something that did not agree with her stomach, but I would not immediately assume that is the case.
