I have 4 dogs. One 3 days ago has came down with Parvo, we took her to the vet, and have to give her up. Now Tutu seems to have similar symtoms, she vomitted last night. IS there any home treatments, since we really want to keep all the dogs right now and save it from the disease. To let them stay in the hospital is unaffordable to us. Can we purchase tamiflu or other antinausiate med thru the vet. Please advise. thank you.

Symptoms: Lethargy, Vomiting

    Ho TuTu,

I'm sory to hear that your dogs have Parvo. It is an awful disease. Unfortunately, Parvo can only be prevented through vaccination and it is merely a case of treating the symptoms once they have it. Good hygiene is essential. If any of your dogs show the symptoms isolate them away from the other dogs and disinfect bedding etc. Your vet will recommend a good disinfectant. You must also contact your vet as soon as any symptoms become apparant. It is really up to your vet to decide the medication he would like your dogs to have so it would be a good idea to ask them directly about the meds and explain your circumstances.

    Hope everyhting goes ok,

    Clare
