dog labor

my dog is ready to have pups,she leaked some bloody water lastnight and had a lil pain but still no pups is this ok or should i be worried

    If she has started straining and passing liquid but no pups overnight she probably should be checked out in case there is an obstruction, or labour has stopped for another reason. I would recommend you get her checked by a vet today.

    she hasnt been straining any or even acted like she wanted to push

    It's a bit difficult to say then- she could be having a uterine inertia, where they are ready to give birth but there are no contractions. If there is any green staining around the vulva she's definitely ready. ANy discharge is suspicious, especially blood stained fluid. Providing she seeems well, there's no immediate danger, but you do need to keep a very close eye on her.
