I have a 150 lb great dane. He got into the garbage while I wasn't home today and ate about 6in x 6in worth of loosly crumpled alumminum foil. Since then he has eaten three cups of dog food and drank an entire bowl of water. He is acting normal. I know his intestions are large because he has eaten an entire roll of paper towels on and pass it in it's entirity. Should I be taking him to the emergency vet hospital tonight?

    Hi

You don't need to worry about him eating a small amount of aluminium foil. It is not toxic to dogs, and this amount will be passed quite easily in the faeces. Also as a Dane he has nice big intestines for it to pass through!

    Best regards.
