Is dark chocolate toxic to cats?

Yes. Call your veterinarian to report this.
For more info on toxic foods/plants to pets, check out the ASPCA Poison Control Center online - they're a great resource. You can also call them to calculate whether the amount your cat ate is life-threatening.

wow! I had no idea about that! this is thrashererin@yahoo.com.... i have a cat who ate a smore when he was a kitten and he does not have any problems!!!!! he for some reason had eaten the smore and cookies that were left out. i am so glad to know that this is toxic to cats and ill keep a better watch on him. he is about 6mo old now but still....

wow im new here and my cat nala never eats choclet good thing i know dark choclet is bad too!
